It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful sister, aunt and friend. Leone Reynolds age 72 of New Aberdeen passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex.

Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Leo and Frances (Campbell) Reynolds. Leone was a dedicated member of St. John’s Parish, New Aberdeen. She taught for 40 years in St. John’s School, New Aberdeen. Leone taught Religious Education in the parish. She was a member of the Hall Committee, a member of the parish council, a volunteer for funeral luncheons and volunteered her time for parish fairs and other parish events.

Leone will be sadly missed by her sisters, Emmeline O’Neill, Glace Bay, Anne (Bob) Englemen, Boston, nephews, Fr. Patrick O’Neill, Louisbourg, Robert “Bobby” Englemen, Boston and Mark Englemen, Boston.

Visitation for Leone Reynolds will be held Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. John’s Church, New Aberdeen with Leone’s nephew, Fr. Patrick O’Neill officiating and Fr. John Barry con-celebrating. Interment will be in St. Anne’s Cemetery. A Reception will follow in the church hall. Donations in Leone’s memory may be made to St. John’s Parish, New Aberdeen.
