With sadness I learned of my cousin Doris passing. Then old memories came to mind of the wonderful times spent together as children in Glace Bay. Having left there, we kept in touch over the years and I was fortunate to have enjoyed her cheery welcome over the past several years, reminiscing of times gone by. My sincere condolences to Reg, her children and grandchildren for whom her love shone brightly.

To the Family of the Late Doris Hyde:
I am writing to express my sincere sympathy on the death of your loved one, Doris. Those whose lives she touched will not soon forget Doris’ contribution to the community.
Words can never put into perspective the sorrow and emptiness that is suffered at such a loss as yours. I do hope your pain is eased somewhat by knowing that others too feel sadness and want to share that very heavy burden.
My prayers are with you.
