It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Clare Patterson on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Ian Anderson House in Oakville in her 73rd year. Loving and devoted wife of 54 years to Ron. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her three children, Debbie, Beverly and Ron and son-in law, Bob. Proud Nana of Christopher, Michael and Justin. Survived by her dear sisters, Irene and her husband Earl, Millie and Gloria. Clare was formerly of McKay’s Corner, Glace Bay.

Clare was predeceased by her beloved parents John and Annie “Brown” Howley, brothers and sisters, Dan, Mary, Gerald and Anna.

Visitation for Clare will be held Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St. Glace Bay. A Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Glace Bay. Fr. Leo Boone will be officiating. Reception to follow. Interment at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney. In lieu of flowers and memory of Clare, donations may be made to The Ian Anderson House www.ianandersonhouse.ca
